Are You Searching?

Too often in life we spend so much energy looking for something (or someone) to meet all our needs. We search. And look. Many times we end up on dead end streets or go through dissatisfying experiences.

No matter what we’re pursuing –money, popularity, the meaning of life, the right car, the right “look,” the right house in the right neighborhood, the right mate, the perfect job, a flat stomach or anything on a long list of things we all chase after – the search will never end unless the end of the search leads us to Jesus.

We don’t want to sound “preachy” or “churchy” but we believe the only real, lasting satisfaction is found in a relationship with Jesus Christ. Not a church, not a pastor, not “religion,” not a group of Christian friends, not even in living a good life, but in Jesus, Himself.

The reason a relationship with Jesus satisfies is because each of us was created to exist in a perfect relationship with God, our Maker. However, sin–anything we do or think or say that is any bit less than God’s perfection –puts a barrier between us and God. The amazing, life-changing news, though, is that God loves us so much that He has done everything necessary to break down that barrier and allow us to live the incredible wonderful lives He created us to live.
